About Us
I've always loved building things from a young age ever since I got my first Lego set. I decided to persue a career in construction which began as I was studying for my degree as a civil and structural engineer. I have worked as an engineer on a different range of commercial scheme's before switching over into Local Authority Building Control.
I am a Registered Building Inspector, a Chartered Member of CABE and an Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council.
I have overseen some major projects in various sectors from residential and commercial to healthcare. These include:
- A 113 plot new-build housing site in Wharfedale, Bradford.
- The conversion of a listed building in Ilkley town centre into a mixed use development of an office and apartments.
- The demolition of six buildings on Darley Street in Bradford City Centre and the construction of Darley Street Market.
- The Day Patient Centre at St Luke's Hospital, Bradford.

After finishing college I joined the British Army and served in the Corps of Royal Engineers for 9 Years. I deployed to multiple locations around the world as a joiner, then later in my career managing the projects. These varied from refurbishments in Africa to new build construction in Oman.
I am a Chartered Member of the CIOB and am experienced in managing multiple tradesmen, liaising with suppliers, building tailored construction programmes and managing stringent budgets.
After leaving the Army I worked as a Project Manager for various commercial and residential developers. Before switching over into Local Authority Building Control, Some of the projects I have overseen include new build, conversions and refurbishments of both commercial and residential developments.

From our time together in Building Control, seeing countless customers being ripped off, we thought we would try and do our bit through Sancoe Developments to prevent this from happening.
Built on friendship and over 20 years of experience between us in construction, we formed Sancoe Developments with a determination to offer great customer service and quality.
When making a house a home we understand that it is very personal and special, which is why when we undertake any new project it means as much to us as it does to you.
